Royal Parks Half Marathon
Hyde Park, Sunday 8 October 2017

Go the extra mile to transform the lives of people with dementia and their carers - artistic stimulation overrides symptoms and empowers them to rekindle fulfilling, active life in the community.

Arts 4 Dementia offers fifteen places for the sell-out Royal Parks Half Marathon 2017 on 9 October - a special opportunity to run through four of London's Royal Parks, taking in superb views around the capital.

If you like the idea of running and raising funds to change the lives of people facing the shock of a diagnosis of dementia, come and run for A4D on the 10th Anniversary Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon. This enormously popular half marathon has won multiple Best Event awards and this year’s ballot for places was over-subscribed NINE times.

The 13.1 mile route passes through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park and Green Park. Runners have great views of the capital's landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall.

  2. Registration is just £25 and you can pay your entry fee here.
  3. After paying your entry fee, simply go to our VirginMoneyGiving Campaign page and follow the instructions on that page to start fundraising: we have fundraising packs ready for you!
  4. When we have received your participation form and entry fee, we will give you a login to register on the Royal Parks Half Marathon website, which will enable you to receive your training packs and tshirt.
  5.  NOTE: You need to register, have your participation agreement, your registration fee in and have your Virgin Money Giving page set up by 21 July and have raised your first £100 by 4 August or your place in the race may be forfeited.  (This is to allow us to find another runner who can cover our own race entry costs and raise funds for us by the RPHM’s own deadline on 18 August).

As at 11 July, we have just one more place available so if you would like a place, you should register as soon as you can to avoid disappointment!

Your sponsorship agreement. To register for an A4D place, you need to pledge to raise a minimum of £350 (due within one month after the event) and set a target of at least £500.  If you already have your own place, you are welcome to run for A4D without any set minimum.

Making a difference. Raising these funds, you will be supporting arts workshops for people living with early stage dementia, really changing lives. Thank you on behalf of all our participants living with dementia and their carers!!!
