Harry Cayton OBE

Harry Cayton has been chief executive of the Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence since August 2007. The Council, subject to UK parliamentary approval, will become the Professional Standards Authority with a wider remit in 2012. Harry was formerly National Director for Patients & the Public at the Department of Health. From 1992 to 2003 he was chief executive of the Alzheimer’s Society and from 1981-1992 director of the National Deaf Children’s Society. From 2007-2011 he was chair of the National Information Governance Board for Health & Social Care.
